I got very excited when I discovered that the plant is maybe producing a flower spike, with many tiny "leaf/sheath" structure....if it's a spike, it only took me about 20 years to figure out how to grow this. In the 20 years, I was only able to find 3 Paph parishii in decent shape in Canada (Orchid Inn offered me one year, but it had no roots, so I didn't get it). This batch of Paph. parishii was from Paph Paradise in California purchased about 1.5 years ago, very good plants After killing parishii twice, I am hoping that third time is the charm. The brown stuff is cinammon.
