or what about net pots made of something like burlap netting so that it would kind of disintegrate in about a years time?
Intriguing but I have enough trouble with my mix itself degrading…or what about net pots made of something like burlap netting so that it would kind of disintegrate in about a years time?
Why don't you use an inorganic medium like you do with other plants, Rick ? This would reduce repotting to a minimum .... only when tha plant grew too big for the pot. With this plant i may have an issue with root loss because there are so many. Other plants slip out quite easily with carefull encourage. Most repotting i just knock out the old and add new leaving the pot and plant as is.
It is about a 50/50 mix of sponge rock and LARGE Orchiata now. This philie has been in this basket since 9/2016. Last Oct I knocked out the old and added new. Never took it out of the basket. Six years is pretty good. Why don't you use an inorganic medium like you do with other plants, Rick ? This would reduce repotting to a minimum .... only when tha plant grew too big for the pot.
Of course impressive roots an a plant with lovely flowers.
