This was a plant I acquired a couple of years ago in a very poor state. It had bad sunburn on the leaves and even with 4 growths it was touch and go whether I could save it. The plant now has 9 growths, and a good half a dozen are approaching flowering size, of which this is the first to flower.

That sounds typical. I find that Paph. Prime Child will sunburn before almost any other paph on the bench, but it recovers quickly. It is a very reliable bloomer and, as your photo illustrates, produces wonderful flowers.
