It's an interesting comment about the mix David. I started out much looser than my current concoction. I tried straight moss, unpacked, way too dry after a half a day. So then I tried lining the baskets with moss and orchiata/carcoal/sponge rock in the center. Now I shred up the moss into the o/c/sr, pack the mix tight into the net pots and for good measure pack more straight moss down the sides which gives the appearance of a lined pot.
Now I can go 2 days easy or longer before watering.
