Did you see any purple blooms? I'm wondering if this bloom just has its expression of yellow suppressed. The normal brown coloration may just be a mixture of purple and yellow.

I did not see any blooms that appeared purple. If you do any breeding you should self it... as long as it’s more than one or two fans.

Right now it's two flowers on two growths, so no selfing yet. Maybe in a couple years when it reblooms.
