Neat. I like the thick texture and the bold markings.

A flower this dark is hard to photograph - a black background is too dark and a white one too bright. Perhaps a more neutral tone - blue, for instance - would present it better. That is what is used in many Japanese flower books where color variation is great, such as Calanthe hybrids - both bright and dark flowers show up clearly against blue.
