Papiopedilum Paradise Gem, another mini complex

[Paph Paradise]

One of our goals is to produce miniature Paphs for folks who have limited space. Paradise Gem is (In-Charm Topaz x Pacific Rainbow).

These are two pretty nice ones that have bloomed in the last month. Keep in mind we were setting records for high temperatures here in California as they opened. They should be even better when they bloom in cool weather.

So Pacific Rainbow proved to be a good breeder.

Pacific Rainbow has been a difficult parent, as we tried about a dozen crosses before this one took. Most of the failed crosses were with white complex so that may have been part of the problem. I am trying it on Doll's Kobold today. Time will tell!
