One of our Phrag. Cahaba Cherokee Sunset's made with besseae 'Rob's Choice' (4N) and exstaminodium, show casing our new background. It really makes the flowers pop out! We also have the same background in blue.

Special place in my heart for this one because I was lucky to bloom an example of this cross first for Orchids Limited in 2012. If you search on Cahaba Cherokee Sunset in this forum and go back to 2012 you can see the original cross which was made with a besseae var flavum. It was quite a bit different in shape and color. Robert's cross is really dominated by the large, red tetraploid besseae 'Rob's Choice'.

WOW that's an eye searing red! No orange in that lovely
bloom at all. The shape is perfect as well. More WOW! The
new background is exactly right, although I have reservations
about a blue background. Most blues seem to change the color
perception a bit for me.

Robert,

Did you take any photos under natural light conditions without the blue back-ground?

Yes, the picture shown is under natural light conditions (in the greenhouse) with a white to gray to black background..(so not the blue back-ground).
