Phrag. Jason Fischer ‘Bridget Katherine’

Acquired as a division from Carter and Holmes in October 2023. First time blooming in my care.

I didn't realize how fuzzy they were. I wanna touch it. It really looks like a velvet shoe.

Interesting how much lighter in color it is than the pictures online, where Carter & Holmes posted their bloom of an overall much darker and solid red flower. Looks like that picture was posted in June. Warmer temps really saturate the red compared to my dead of winter bloom. May also be something else in the culture?

I’ve noticed this with other phrags, slightly muted colors with cooler conditions. I need to try and avoid blooming them in the winter.
