A stunner, for sure! I really like Elizabeth Castle (unfamiliar with Mountain Maid) so I'm not surprised this appeals to me. If only I had more room--I have so many on my wish list already and will never be able to house them all, alas. Can anyone tell me who Mike Beattie is or was? He certainly has a winner named after him!

I love it! It proves that everything doesn't have to be "round and full", as long as symmetry is present and color rich. Never expected Mountain Maid to be used this way in hybridizing, but it's definitely an improvement over the original primary......
