This is a better display than I would expect from this combination. Phrag caricinum is a sequential bloomer that can carry 3-6 flowers or so; Phrag besseae var. dalessandroi, when mature, can carry many flowers with branching inflorescences. It seems quite influential in this cross for spike habit, floriferousness, and color with the shape coming from caricinum. The hybrid vigor creates the improvement.
