Sweet! Adductum and anitum are such great parents. Shame that the same cant be said with the species. Culture wise.

the TPS will carefully deal with this award.Thank you very much!

Hi,
Bidborough (Paph. Beaufort x Paph. Hancar).

I recall reading a couple of threads about 'Taka' and some other clones where it was claimed that they were hybrids. Roth (Xavier) said that he had tested 'Taka' and it indeed was a hybrid. See post #31 in the link below...

I love the first two and the "taka" is nice as well.

But as far as I'm concerned the clonal name "taka" always reminds me of a certain story so I tend to have mixed opinion about this plant.

Thank you for telling me so much.
Did 'TaKa" through the AOS claimed it was a hybrid?

I don't know any more about these plants than has been written here and on other forums. The huge flowers would make me doubt that they are species but that's not conclusive. When a knowledgeable and capable person like Xavier says he has done a chromosome count and has a plausible explaination as to how these plants came into existence, I will treat these plants with caution until proven otherwise.

If there is no sufficient evidence, I guess TPS will not change the award.
