Tom Perlite did indeed sell off a large section of of his collection years ago. Mostly his Odonts and Oncidiums. But he is very much NOT closed down.

YaNice buy. Did they ship that monster?
You sound as grumpy as I!Isn’t this just like closing the barn door after the horse got out? Seems silly and foolish. You acquire the plant and then figure out how to grow it after thinking you can.
Stayci is one of the hardest Oncidiums to grow and flower. It has a new classification but is still hard to flower. It needs incredibly strong sunshine, mounted conditions and temperatures on the warmer side. It was considered to be “a rat-tailed” Oncidium. It was a bit harder to flower then Oncidium splendidum.
Wouldn’t it be prudent to research it first and then purchase it armed with some knowledge. But you do whatever makes you happy.
That's gorgeous. What is your humidity to only water once a weekOne I grew from flask….growing on tree fern slab in Phal gigantea light, water once a week, blooms every year.
Greenhouse humidity runs from 45% to 80%…if on the lower end I will wet down the gravel floor. As the temps rise…I do have a wet wall that helps provide humidity. That's gorgeous. What is your humidity to only water once a week
