zieckianum in bud

I know official name is papuanum, but avoid confusion with violascens I call it zieckianum. Got it 2 years ago, in sheath, but bud blasted. Plant established well and finally in sheath again.

The rhizome looks swollen, you can feel it swelling when it blooms

I think it is bud. It would be very rare coming two leaves in the same time and this "second leaf" is rounder and hairy. I will take better pic few days later.

That bud might be slow, but it sure looks healthy. I can't wait to see the
bloom. Congrats! I just had my second bud blast with wardii. That plant
hates me. I'm beginning to hate it too! I don't like emotional scenes with
plants.

Angely, do you keep the temperature too high at night? I almost never experience bud-blast on wardii, but then my nights are down to around 60 and humidity close to 100%.
