    first Pterostylis flowers this year

Same here. I tried my hand with curta two seasons ago and unfortunately failed miserably.

How I grow my intermediate-warm bulbophyllum collection...

Chris, what's the pendant growing plant at 23 seconds? Something from Epicranthes?

    Enc. garciana

Very nice but not often seen species!

    Some nice Bulbos

Congrats Rick! That appendiculata is really special and the unitubum is one I've wanted for a long time. As an aside, I never really thought species like appendiculata and fascinator were anything special until my fascinator bloomed for the first time this year. It's something truly...

    modesta or mysticidii?

Definitely A. mystacidii. A. modesta has much more "starry" flowers.

    Beginner Phrag. Species

I'm not necessarily looking for something small compared to say a Pleurothallid. I just knew there were some species that stayed rather compact. I was just trying to stay away from the monsters because my growing area is limited for now. I'm liking the suggestions so far and starting to look...

    Beginner Phrag. Species

I guess I should have mentioned that I do have a OZ cross besseae that I acquired as a rescue. It doesn't have a great root system as of now but looks better than when I got it. I'd like to find one of the "green" flowered species that isn't too hard.

    Beginner Phrag. Species

Hi all, I'm looking for a relatively small sized Phrag. species that isn't too picky about culture. I'm having some success with some of the larger hybrids, but I'd like to give species a try too. If you can spare a division, I'd happily buy it, or I may have something to trade. Thanks!

    Bulbophyllum potamophilum

There was a vendor at the Shore Orchid Fest I believe who supposedly had red contorts. Their plants got sprayed upon import and didn't make it. A friend of mine bought a bunch from a vendor at the POE. There's supposed to be a mixture of red and yellow in the plants he bought. Neither my small...

    Bulbophyllum potamophilum

It seems like a slow grower in my conditions. I was told that it can grow in hot conditions, but I am hesitant to try that since it comes from 1200 meters. According to IOSPE, it's in Section Hoplandra with other species like B. contortisepalum and B. falciferum.

    Bulbophyllum potamophilum

This is an uncommon species from Papua New Guinea that grows at about 1200 masl. I grow it in my terrarium under I-W conditions. It's a first bloomer for me. Unfortunately, the plant fell off the hook while I was trying to take pictures and broke off the spike. It's been in bloom for 2+ weeks...

    Phal. speciosa C1

Very nice! I love the variability in this species. I remember there being discussion on whether this was actually speciosa or tetrapsis. Has something changed regarding the naming of this plant?

    Masdevallia ignea

It's blooming, so you're doing something right! What's your temp range and lighting?

    Dyakia hendersoniana

I have a few D. hendersoniana seedlings available. I'd prefer to trade, but I'm open to selling as well. These are NBS/BS seedlings. Some have already bloomed and others are getting close. I'm interested in pretty much any small to mini species, but I'm open to just about any species. PM me with...

    Miscellaneous stuff

I really like the Pleuro, but it doesn't match the pictures for Pl. prolifera on IOSPE.

    Miscellaneous stuff

Is that Encyclia boothiana after the Eurychone? Also, what's the tiny one in the 3rd to last picture?

Any info on the light output or angle?

    Aerangis luteoalba var. rhodosticta

I really like this Aerangis species! I've killed too many though to try it again until I have a greenhouse and a proper area to grow it. Nice close up shot by the way!

Mounting: Bulbo tingabarinum & a Restrepia

I don't grow either of those, but I grow a few similar Bulbos (yasnae and taiwanense) and other members of the genus Restrepia. My B. yasnae is mounted to cork with a sphag pad under the roots. I grow outdoors, so you may want to add a bit more sphag to make up for lower humidity. I also grow B...
