Thought I'd take a few updated photos of my little growing area.

Overview:

Neos, a couple other Japanese things, Masd. herradurae and the Mex. (I know, it looks terrible!) There's a delenatii album also but it was being repotted when I took this photo.

Windowsill with ping, succulents, and my distichum.

I'm planning to stop at Bonsai West tomorrow to pick up a couple more small deep bonsai pots for the Masdie and the Dend. I'm sort of into the aesthetic thing again at the moment.

(sorry for the mess under the potting bench (mom's crap...)

Nice little corner!!!! Neat collection!!! The Mexi is doing fine and so does your D. kingianum!!!!!!! And you got some Neos!!!!(????) Cool!!! But I think your collection has to be enlarged and enriched somehow, so that it is representative of an Administratrix!!!...:D:poke::poke:

Nice! Love the Neos! :D I get into decorative also- interesting pots and the like. Nice collection!

How do you avoid water spilling out from the big air cone pot on the table?

nice collection Heather!!!
Your distichum looks very strong (compared to mine => my thread to come), and my kingianum (about the size of your plant) is coming up with 1 spike and 3 buds:eek::eek:! Jean

Your plants look happy. You know Eric would have like 2,000 plants crammed in there. Is it a sunroom/porch area?

No, it's the basement! :rollhappy:

I get a little sun, more in Feb/March.
The CFL's help in the winter and they go out during the warm weather into sunshine.

It is by far ideal (you probably noticed the lack of multifloral Paphs growing there. Sigh...) but I had things bloom this year so...all's not lost.

Hoping to save enough to move out by next spring into some sort of lofty/studioesque place closer to work.

Nice growing area, Heather. I love your Mex! The "Japanese things" all look happy too. Cute Sedirea and Dend. moniliforme.

Heather what a change from the last time we saw photos of your growing space.... Nice to see you got rid of some of those large multis in favor of some really nice smaller plants.

How high do you manage to keep the local humidity? I tried an ascofinetia but I petrified it then rotted the roots trying to keep them too wet. DO you have some special advice for the neos? Yours look nice and healthy.
