I LOVE chuck worth sandow!!!

Ross, you're my hero! Honestly, folks, this man can raise seedlings from flask most masterfully! Keep it up buddy.

Thanks, Ernie. Many members here have rightly recommended that it is better for the average grower to purchase mature, well established plants, and I agree. But I really love watching the little ones grow and develop over time. Every new leaf or root tip is a victory in the march toward blooming. The other thing I like is IF YOU CAN KEEP THE PLANTS ALIVE until blooming, you get to see all the variation the cross has to offer for the price of one or two mature plants. This appeals to my cheap side.

I agree entirely........Not only do you get the selection of a varied population, but the plants that survive will be strong in your conditions. This is the very best way to build a quality collection if you can grow plants well from flask, have good quality flasks, and a limited budget. Some of my best plants are the ones that I have grown from flask.
