Yes it is in a basket. I bought a number of 9 inch sq. pond baskets and put them to good use! I have approximately 20 bigger Paphs, species and hybrids in them at the moment.

A few sandies and a stonei in baskets. The first pic is 3rd generation breeding from Sam. Notice the green mark on the bottom of the leaf. I oftened mark the top leaf at the axis to the second leaf. I can watch the growth as the two leaves move away from each other. Feb of this year I got plants from him. This one has done the best.
Second pic showing 13.5 inches

Unfortunately, I can't write description between the pics using my cell. So a new post. Here is a sandie from Popow in a 5 inch basket but it has put on 2 new leaves and it's 18 inches.
The 3rd is the top of basket.a1691c558960c81f7767ac560d10e321.jpgf354fb201bf3e845b556af40dd2ad454.jpgaf42dc454ebbfdb2556f15257e054a90.jpg

Whatever nature provides. Which is 70-90 in the summers, 20% less in the winter months.
