Rothschildianum x sib (Imperial Wings x Giant Wings GM/WOC) in bloom

Hi everyone, here is the first bloom from this grex puchased from Orchid Inn Ltd. As you can see, this roth is very unique and completely original compared to my other rothschildianum. Anyone else flowered this amazing grex (PAS0365) and could share pictures?

I'm more than happy to be wrong, but this appears to be mislabeled.

It's obviously a nice multifloral either way.

For what it's worth (maybe a US nickel), I'm getting some kolopakingii vibes from the muted color as well as the wide, chunky looking leaves. So it makes me wonder if that species is involved in the ancestry somewhere.

I agree. Definitely not a roth. Good call on the kolopakingii influence. I am thinking the same.

St. Swithin would be my guess...For sure it isn't rothschildianum.

My first guess when it began opening was Kolosand, but given the petals are not extending any more, this is not it. My second guess was a Temptation (kolopagingii x philipinensis) but most pictures I find online have more twisty petals. I was also seeing the kolo influence.

In the end, it might be a more greenish Saint Swithin? The flower is quite big which is a plus, but yet, what a deception it was for me to flower something completely different than what I purchased. I was looking forward to a next-gen Roth there !

What about the leaves? They seem very wide for a SS. We always seem to assume a mislabeled plant is a primary hybrid. It could be something like Bel Royal X philippinense. It is hard to be definitive.

It looks like a match with my St. Swithin. St. Swithin plant can get very robust too.....I would focus on the flower details if it were my plant...Or just call it NOID if you still can't be sure.
Here is my SS before I chopped it up, the width of the leaves is 2.25". Under godd cultures, the leaves may even get wider and stockier.

So this morning I took some measurements, flower dorsal is 6.5 cm high x 4.7 cm width; petals are 20cm long.
The plant measure 70cm and the max leave width is 6.5 cm. For some reasons the flowered appeared yellower this morning.
I have another Saint Swithin but the leaves are quite different, they are narrower and upright. Yet as TOM-DE mentioned, the type of phillipinensis used could generate these morphological differences. Here are side by side differences of plants. And I included a small video.

Lord I’d be so mad if I flowered a “rothschildianum” that came out a jeezly hybrid! I’d haunt Sam from the grave! lol. I’m with the St. Swithin guessers. Looks like a compact phillipinense was used. Not seeing the kolopakingii stuff others note.
